How does the Berklee Card
Account work?
The Berklee Card Account is a cashless, prepaid spending account on your Berklee
Card that is accepted on and around the Berklee College of Music campus. Unused
balances roll over semester to semester and year to year. You must add value to
your account before using your Berklee Card Account to make purchases. You must
have sufficient value available in your Berklee Card Account to pay for each
transaction. Each time you use your Berklee Card Account, the amount of the
transaction will be deducted from your account. You may not spend more value
than you have.

What's the difference between my Meal Plan and Berklee Card Account?
Both accounts are accessed by your Berklee Card.
All residential students are required to participate in a meal plan which varies
based on where you live on campus. Payment is made at the beginning of the each
semester along with tuition and other fees.
The Berklee Card Account is a new prepaid spending account that is accepted at
all dining locations on campus, the campus bookstore, select vending machines,
on-campus copy center and copy machines, and popular off-campus businesses. It
is designed to eliminate the need to carry cash around campus. You or your
parents must add value to your Berklee Card Account before using it for
purchases. Value in the Berklee Card Account rolls over from semester to
semester and from year to year.

When is
value added to the Berklee Card Account available?
Funds transferred by debit/credit card and cash are available
instantly. Check deposits are available on the business day
received. If
a check is returned to us by your financial institution for
insufficient funds, the deposit will be reversed from your
Berklee Card Account and a Returned Payment/Check fee will be
assessed. If the Returned
Payment/Check fee creates a negative balance in your account,
you will be contacted to make another payment to the account.

How do I
make a purchase with the Berklee Card Account?
At retail locations, the Berklee Card Account works much like a debit or credit
card. Just present your Berklee Card for payment to the attendant at the
register. Your card will be swiped in a terminal and the transaction authorized.

What is the difference between the Berklee Card Account and
Campus Cash?
Campus Cash broadens the
acceptance of the Berklee Card Account off campus. It enables you to
use your Berklee Card Account account to make purchases at a network of
businesses that accepts prepaid spending accounts from many participating
colleges and universities in the Boston area. The Berklee College of
Music is one of these colleges. So, in addition to being able to use
your Berklee Card Account account on and around campus, you can use it to make
purchases at any business that displays the Campus Cash Welcomed sticker –
more than 75 in the Back Bay, Fenway and Cambridge neighborhoods. To see a
